Asquith Paintball Action Games was founded in 1988

and has developed along with the sport of paintball. Starting with 12 gram powered splatmasters and a group of dedicated players, who are still actively involved in the sport, it has grown and evolved into one of the best paintball fields in Canada using constant-air powered semi-automatic paintguns. Players from all over North America have traveled to Asquith to take part in A.P.A.G.'s tournaments and Big Game. From the beginning A.P.A.G.'s facility was designed and developed as a paintball complex. It is the only thing the site is used for.

Operated by staff specially trained to referee paintball and drawing upon a cumulative experience of over 30 years playing and competing in the sport of paintball, P.A.G.A. operates a professional and a safety oriented recreational facility. Proving time and again that, at a quality paintball facility like P.A.G.A., Paintball is one of the safest sports there is!

A.P.A.G.'s FIELDS encompass 30 acres, including A Speedball Field, Woods Field, Battlefield (complete with trenches, bunkers and wire), parking lot, and registration area with large sun and rain shelter.

The Speedball Field

is 45 meters by 110 meters, and is covered with cable spools, barrels, tire piles and barricades.

The Woods Field

is 14 acres of forest and clearings, hills and valleys, trees and tall grass. Throughout the field are numerous forts, bunkers, towers, trails and roads. At the center of the field is the village, complete with huts, water troughs, vehicles, and tire barricades. Dominating opposite ends of the village are the CASTLE and the O.K.CORRAL.

The Battlefield

is 15 acres of trenches, bunkers, wire, forts, tire mountains, foxhole bunkers, cable spools, and includes special features like The Battleship, The Keep, The Bridge, Motor Pool, Ammo Dump, Spool Maze, and the Church. It's huge!

GROUPS INTERESTED can make bookings to use the field by telephoning (306) 329-4404. If there is no one else previously booked into the field on the date the group wishes to come out and play they can book the time they would like to start. Any other groups that wish to play that day must come out at that time, and will be joined in with the other groups. This arrangement is preferred by most players, as paintball is one of those sports where the "more players there are the better". If you wish to make a booking and no one has previously booked the day you wish to play, you must have a group of at least 10 people. The playing fields are so large that any smaller numbers can't play effectively. Groups smaller than 10 persons need to book in at a time when others are already coming out to play.

Groups may book to use the field for their group exclusively, however this requires a up-front non-refundable deposit. "Exclusive Bookings" will only be accepted for Bookings occurring on Mondays to Fridays.

Individuals or very small groups may call to arrange to "walk-on" and join other groups already booked into play.

PLAYERS must be at least 12 years of age to play. With the prior approval of the owners of P.A.G.A., players under the age of 12 may play if accompanied by a Parent whilst playing. Players must sign a waiver of liability and consent to play form. Any players under 18 years of age must have the form signed by a Parent or Guardian aged 18 years or older.

Paintball is the ultimate parent and child activity. Both can participate on an equal basis, either on the same team or opposite teams. We have had players from all walks of life play paintball at our field. Men, Women, Children, and Seniors all play paintball. Our youngest player was a 9 years old boy while our oldest customer was 67 years old woman. The groups that have been out span all elements of society. Sports team windups, work staff parties, stags and stagettes, church youth groups, family reunions, high school grad parties etc. All and more have experienced the safe exciting adventure of playing at Asquith Paintball Action Games.

EQUIPMENT is provided with all rentals. Each player is equipped with a one or two piece clothing outfit to wear when playing, throat and ear protection, a paintball approved facemask and goggles, an ammo pouch for carrying spare paintballs, semi-automatic paintgun, and 300 pellets. Pump paintguns are available upon request instead of a semi-automatic. All rental guns are chronographed (speed tested) to ensure that the pellet's speed is below the maximum safe speed.

Players who have their own equipment may also come out and play and chose to use their own equipment instead of the rental equipment provided for free.. However their paintguns will be speed checked to ensure they are operating at a safe level.

Season passes are available for purchase by players who have their own equipment.

We also sell paint pellets, and refill CO2 tanks and high pressure air tanks.

ALL PAINT PELLETS USED AT THIS FIELD MUST BE PURCHASED HERE!

(exception is for the Border War Big Game)

A PLAYING SESSION starts with the players arriving approximately 1 hour before the start of play. Upon arrival players read and complete the Waiver/Consent/Rules form and hand it in along with their rental fee. They are then equipped with clothing and safety equipment. The group is then divided into two teams and each of the players are given colored armbands to separate the two teams. The head referee then gives a 15-20 minute safety briefing and explanation on the use of the paintguns and safety equipment.

The five main safety rules are;

  1. Never Remove Your Goggles While On The Playing Field.
  2. Always Have The Barrel Plug In The End Of The Paintgun Barrel When Off The Playing Field.
  3. Never Discharge The Paintgun In The Safe Area, Even If The Paintgun Is Empty Or Even If The Barrel-Plug Is In The Paintgun Barrel.
  4. No Blind Firing--This is firing when you cannot see the line of flight of your pellets. You must be able to see where your pellets are going to impact.
  5. Do Not Shoot The Referees. Do Not Argue With The Referees.

All the games are supervised with at least one referee on the field at all times.

The usual booking length is 4 hours and includes outfitting, training, and approximately three hours playing time, although it is possible to book for longer. The time doesn't start running until the start of the first game. In other words, the equipping and safety briefing time is not included in the booking time of three hours or whatever.

SPECIAL EVENTS are one of the many things for which A.P.A.G. is renowned. We host three main events each year. They are, The Saskatchewan Speedball Championship, The Stock Classic, The Border-War Big Game. This year we will be seeing the return of the BLITZ event. (Keep checking this page for more information in the future.)

The Saskatchewan Provincial Speedball Championship Tournament is the longest running tournament in Saskatchewan. Ever since 1990 4-person teams have competed for the title of provincial champion. Taking place on our huge speedball field it requires coordinated tactics and accurate pellet placement. First prize is 50% of the entry fees for the tournament.

The Stock Classic is a unique event in Saskatchewan. In this age of Semi-auto paintguns, this is a game of skill. All players must use pump-guns and feed them from 10 round tubes, not hoppers. Vertical feed guns have a speed limit of 250 fps and horizontal feed have limits of 270 to 300fps. Only 12 grams may be used to power the pump-guns. The format is a two-flag capture the flag game! This is also a charity event with entry fees going to support a local youth athletic club.

THE SEPTEMBER "BORDER WAR" BIG GAME If you play in one game each year this is it! With players from all over western Canada in attendance there is no game like. Over 150 players battling for 3 hours (we combine the Woods and Battlefields). We have expanded the field to 50 acres, with a Woods fields at each end and the Battlefield as disputed zone in the middle.
